Rhino Hero Missing Match

It is rare that I never really get to the stage where I actually get to take the photographs for these reviews.

But that was the case with “Rhino Hero MIssing Match” that was played (initially) by myself, Jack(7) and Toby(4).

Generally speaking we are massive Haba fans in this house and the Rhino Hero games are both top recommendations from me (specifically the original) and going into this we had hoped for the same level of quality.

Alarm bells started ringing when it was on sale for £4 only a few months after release (but I picked it up anyway… of course I did).

So first and foremost this is a Rhino Hero game in name alone.

The way the game works is you lay all of the match tiles of “residents” over the table and then each turn a player takes the role of the fox and removes one of the cards. The other players then in a time limit have to place their meeple (which are nice and chunky) on the matching one to the one that had been taken away…

That’s it

Firstly, this is pretty hard to do.

It’s even harder in the time limit.

The boys did not enjoy this and to be honest neither did I. If you are into matching pairs type games, I could see this being a fun twist, but you can just do this with any pair matching set (let’s be honest we all own half a dozen of those given to us by relatives).

So yeah, it is what it is… my boys hated it and it won’t be played again…
