Wooden coinhole game board featuring a circular hole and vibrant yellow accents, placed on a green surface, with a sticker logo visible.

Note: This is a short really early legacy review before I started posting longer form review in our Facebook Group.

Having enjoyed some dexterity action yesterday game 7 of the “Bailey Family Sorta Summer Board Game Bonanza” is “Coinhole” played by myself, Jack(7) and Toby(4).

Now let me be honest. I bought Coinhole for 2.99 on MEGA-REDUCTION and I totally understand why.

Alarm bells rang when the box broke the first time i opened it.

Essentially the game is 2 bits of wood and some plastic coins and you have to bounce the coins into the hole faster than your opponenet… ideally in teams… thats it…

Now i have liked games that are basic before but this isnt even great at what it does. The coins are flimsy and therefore dont have a lot of weight meaning predicting a bound is hard (something more akin to a pog kini would be better). The wood is functional.

Equally the neoprene matt we used made it much better and bouncier. Not sure how Katie would have reacted to the kids slamming coins into the dining table unprotected.

We played it for a few mins and that was it. I wouldnt even think it would be fun drunk in teams to be honest. Just get some cups and a ping pong ball.

So there we go rest assured its not another recommendation.
