Note: This is a short really early legacy review before I started posting longer form review in our Facebook Group.
Let me introduce Circus Puppy. The concept of Circus Puppy is simple… kinda… well… let me introduce the first problem… the rules are an absolute mess. They are only about the size of a folded piece of A4 but even after several reads I still think we “house ruled” some of it as it a mess.
Anyway, I think you choose a set of 6 dogs and then a draw pile of random dogs you maybe draw from (not sure).
You take a dog and that denotes how you place these dogs. The dogs are folded cards and the whole thing is fairly reminiscent of Rhino Hero and sees you placing a dog on either the small or large stage dependent (or sometimes moving between the 2) either with your hands or with dogee (cardboard dog tweezers).

You then score however many dogs are below you.
Unlike Rhino Hero you stack them with the folds so as the tower gets heavier it starts to buckle.
While it’s a cool idea and has a lot of charm I struggle to recommend Circus Puppy as there are better games that do the same thing better and with more intelligible rules.
The box also counts as a money box… which is weird because you need it to keep your stuff in it.
