66 Games of Summer 2024 complete!

I just wanted to say a big thank you to @everyone who has read all, or at the very least most, of my ramblings over the last two months as I finish my longest-ever marathon—by eight days! I think it’s going to be almost impossible for me to beat that, and I don’t think I’ll even try next year. In fact, I kind of wish I had done 64 reviews rather than 66 because 64 fits much nicer into a lovely square, an 8×8 grid. So, I think next summer we might have a 64-day marathon, potentially using some sort of 64-bit branding.

At least I have a year to think about it.

While the summer marathon is over, there is plenty coming on the horizon that I am really looking forward to sharing with you. A few reviews I’ve got coming up very shortly include “Steery,” “Gnome Village,” “Rolling Realms Redux,” “Overboss,” and the “The Puzzle Adventure Jigsaw” series, along with “Gigantosaurus” (I’ve already written the review for that, but I’m holding it until closer to the game’s release in November).

Additionally, I was lucky enough to do an interview with the wonderful Jennifer Page, the author of The Little Board Game Café series of books, and I am looking forward to sharing that interview with you all as we get closer to the release of the fourth in the series.

Finally, I am already thinking about the October half-term and have some excellent games lined up for the spooky season.

Thank you also to all of the wonderful designers and publishers who have requested their games be included.

All of the reviews I’ve written over the summer, as well as some
excellent reviews from other members of our group, can be found in the Review and Recommendation Archive.
