Note: This is a short really early legacy review before I started posting longer form review in our Facebook Group.
Several weeks ago I went camping with Jack(7) and we played a few board games. My original plan was to feature these games in a “mini marathon” but sadly i did the first one and then the reality of camping in the cold with a 7-year-old hit and I didn’t post the other 3 (yes I know I said 2 yesterday but it was so cold on that trip I forgot we played 4 games until I just looked at the photos).
Anyways ahead of Half Term (which starts once I’ve written this) I thought i would tie up loose ends.
Game 4 of my “mini camping marathon from several weeks ago” was “The Mind”.
“The Mind” is a very cool and unusual cooperative card game.
The idea is that you get a selection of cards in hand with numbers ranging from 1 to 100.
You then without talking or motioning have to lay the cards in order from 1 to 100… and that’s it
You get some ninja cards to allow you to lay everyones lowest card and lives which help you out of tough spots and the aim of the game is to play as many games as possible (up to 10) with the number of cards per player increasing each time.
It’s brilliant… just trust me on this. you end up doing this weird looking at each other and willing the other person to lay a card.
It’s a simple fun little game that is unlike most games… but its really good… you’ll just have to trust me.
