Matthew BaileyIf you read my last post you will have seen that I intended on being done with my UKGE posts but this years “Spiel des Jahres” nominees landed (board game Oscars) and I was totally blindsided by the nominees this year.
Either way….
Game #10 of our “UKGE ROUNDUP 2024” is “Taco Kitten Pizza.”which is a nominee for this year’s “Kinderspiel des Jahres”
“Taco Kitten Pizza” is essentially a younger version of Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza (which is already a very family-friendly game in itself).
How to play :
- Announce a word, then flip your card.
- If the word corresponds to the card, play again.
- Quickly grab the piece of candy when it appears.
It’s an easier version of an already easy game but to the point where its just not needed. If a child has the cognitive ability to play this then they can play the regular version and this just isn’t required.
The fact this is nominated for this year’s “Kinderspiel des Jahres” is a shock and I just don’t see it.
Not a recommendation at all.
