Image of the board game "Pixel," featuring a colorful box design with the title prominently displayed. The box includes playful words like "Italy," "Fish," "Space," "Happy," "Rain," and "Dream," indicating the game's creative theme. It is suitable for ages 5 and up, accommodating 1-8 players, and designed for quick play sessions of 5 minutes or more.

A fairly quick one today. Game 7 of the “Games that Jack(8.) and I played at the UKGE” is “Pixel” (not to be confused by the sliding game released in 2007).

Now pixel is essentially a deck of photocards used to generate stories or play other games similar to what you might do with “Rory’s Story Cubes”

Apart from just using them to tell a story the “game” works by picking a word such as “cat” and then drawing 3 cards and then trying to think of words beginning with the letter of the word that matches the picture.

That’s kinda it there isn’t really a game.

The woman was fairly pushy who demoed it and to top it off they were selling them for £7.99 but when I checked online before writing this review the packs are £3.50 online (way to gouge them congoers).

So yeah get a pack of generalised top trumps instead 🙂

Equally, there are some good actual games following this idea like Concept/Concept Kids, mysterium/Mysterium Kids and Dixit.
