Colorful King Jr. memory game featuring a cylindrical container and various character-themed cards laid out on a wooden table, designed to enhance memory skills and provide family-friendly entertainment.

King Jr. Memory Game

So we are out on an “errand” to get a photo printed for my stepmother in Boots (their new service is terrible by the way I wouldn’t recommend it).

The plan was to get some lunch from a nice little cafe with Henry when what did I spot on the window of Burger King…

Game 54 of the “Bailey Family Summer 2023 Board Game Bonanza” is “King Jr. Memory Game” played by Jack (.8.), Toby (5), and myself.

Now obviously Mcdonalds’s really outdid themselves this year with the Dobble collaboration so Burger King (who I will be honest I do not really like and TBH this trip to BK did not change my mind) seems to have done their own.

Essentially this is a simple Match Pairs memory game but what I actually like about it is that it’s surprisingly high quality. The Tube is essentially a “thick, old-style smarties tube” or one of those tubes you get posh pencils in and the cardboard discs themselves are nice thick cardboard. There are no rules anywhere just a QR code which is a little weird. I mean I know everyone knows how to play this but without a nudge that this is what you are playing it seems a bit silly. You could fit the rules on one disc

The rules are equally impossible to find without the direct links. They don’t appear on search engines and arent hosted on the normal BK site.

the pictures while quite distinctive also work well because they are different but have similarities that mean a few times I was convinced I had a pair and messed up.

If you like match pair memory games and want the best of the best then get Dodo. If however, you want a decent set to shove in a bag to take on Holiday this is pretty decent for free with a kid’s meal.
