Hi, I’m Matt, a dad who loves playing board games with my three boys — Jack, Toby, and Henry. Gaming has always been a big part of my life, but sharing it with my kids has made it even more special. It’s not just about fun (though there’s plenty of that!); it’s about spending time together, learning, and making memories.
I’ve been posting reviews and recommendations on Facebook since 2021, exploring not just games for kids but games that work with kids. I took over Little Board Gamers in 2023, a fantastic community focused on family gaming, and helped it grow, creating a master review spreadsheet that’s been accessed tens of thousands of times.
Beyond family gaming, I also run a popular board game club for teenagers, introducing them to all sorts of games, from lighthearted fun to deep strategy.
After requests from the group, I launched LittleBoardGamers.com in 2025 a dedicated space to make finding reviews and recommendations even easier. I hope it helps you discover great games to enjoy with the young gamers in your life!
Nicola started getting into more modern board games during her University years and has been getting deeper into the hobby ever since. She even had a board game birthday cake one year. In 2018 she went so far as having a daughter in order to cultivate her own gaming partner! In 2023 she was enlisted to help run the Little Board Gamers Facebook group and has thoroughly enjoyed helping more families find games that they love.
Ambie has been playing games for as long as she can remember, with both family and friends.
She got more into the modern board gaming hobby a little after 2010. and in 2016 she started up Board Game Blitz, a concise podcast and YouTube channel about board games.
In 2019 she gave birth to twin boys and has been playing (and reviewing) more children’s games with them as they grow. She also made some children’s songs and a book.
Her other hobbies include puzzle video games, jigsaw puzzles, singing, and crafting.
