Game 6 of the “Games that Jack(8.) and I played at the UKGE” is “A Fistful of Daisies”
A Fistful of Daisies is a fairly simple game that surprisingly we actually really enjoyed.
So firstly you construct the box by placing the fold-out board around the box itself which is super cool and a great use of components.
you each select a cow and matching coloured components and you are good to go.
The idea is to move around the board eating flowers of the square you land on or collecting clover that can be used to swap for flowers with the first to eat all of their flowers and cover their board winning. What makes this more than a random dice game is the duelling system.
When you land in an occupied space (which happens regularly) you then fight by placing both cows in the middle and pushing their locked horns together until one of the spins over. If that happens the winner takes a daisy cover token.
it’s a super fun mechanic that adds a lot to an otherwise simple game.
All of the components are decent and the cow moulds are high quality.
You can get it online for about £20 and while it’s not a lock-in recommendation we did have fun with it and I would def play it again, especially with younger kids.
